Northrop Grumman makes advanced weapons systems and technologies. Among their projects are the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS -- a powerful airborne surveillance and target system), the U.S. Navy's E-2C Hawkeye, combat radars for the F-16 fighter and F-22 aircraft, the Longbow Fire Control Radar and AGM-114L Hellfire missile for the Apache helicopter, radar for the Air Force's Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS), the Navy's EA-6B Prowler, the Army's BAT (an acoustically self-guided antiarmor submunition; space-based sensor systems; tactical military radars; air defense systems, and airborne electronic countermeasures, which protect pilots and aircraft by disrupting enemy radar and hostile weapons systems.)

Northrop Grumman is also the prime contractor for the U.S. Air Force's B-2 stealth bomber (a long-range, heavy bomber with low-observable characteristics and all-altitude capability to penetrate the most sophisticated air defenses. (pictured above)
